1.a – Recent revisions to laws have allowed Chianti region wineries to include international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon but many Chianti purists stick to the approved local varieties.

5. a – Veneto. Soave is a designated area and is a wine primarily made of the Garganega grape variety.

6. c – Zinfandel. There is still a lot of debate on the DNA identity of these two grapes however. Are Zin and Primitivo genetically identical? Turns out they might be closely related but not exactly the same grape afterall… In any case, they are both probably of Croatian origins!
